“Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” was celebrated on 15 August, 2022 to commemorate India’s 75th Independence year. This glorious day was dedicated to all those people who have and will continue to make evolutionary changes to our incredible country. NGO Vidhyaa aes, organized a tree plantation drive under their principal project called “The Blue Window”. This project focuses on the importance of saving nature and its natural habitat. Taking this forward under the Blue Window project, saplings were planted to create a “Butterfly Garden”. Butterflies being an integral part of our ecosystem it is important to address any issue from its grass root level.
Many organizations, school and Government bodies were a part of the Plantation Drive, organised by NGO Vidhyaa aes titled “Butterfly Garden” that was accomplished at MPS School, Borivali between the 12th and 15th of August, 2022.
The founder of one of the biggest Non-Profit Organisation Vidhyaa aes, Dr.Sri HitteshGurujee is also a well-known and popular celebrity astrologer and a spiritual Guru. Dr. Hittesh Gurujee is endowed with a mission to help the under privileged from his childhood days. Dr. HitteshGurujee lives by the motto “we must give back what we take from Mother nature”, because he believes we get far more than what we seek from mother nature. He has continued his good work by sponsoring education to slum kids, donating books and clothes. Vidhyaa organisation has been conducting such drives since its inception with minimal help from outside.
Notably, Tree Plantation Drive was supported by Dr.Jiggnna Desai who is founder and director of Ngo- Ek-Nayi-Disshaa Gurukul Foundation .Her Mission is to Support old age homes, orphanages, education for poor, help widows, single mothers and cancer patients. She has great respect and regards for her Gurudev, HitteshGurujee and believes in his unconditional drive to make India best place to live in through his initiatives.
While Gurukul is spreading its wings all around the globe, they have been instrumental in bringing donations for Tree Plantation Drive. It’s because she believes that by doing this, we are helping mother earth and giving something back to nature. The proverb is rightly said as *Go Green* Save Earth, each of us should plant at least one sapling.
The team of trustees, members of Vidhyaa NGO and volunteers who were part of this tree Plantation Drive were Ms. Saiyukta Pawar, Ms. Pushpalata Maniar, Ms. Sonali Hate, Ms.Nita Morjaria, Mr.Nimesh Morjaria, Mr. Rajiv Chowdhary, Ms.Shivpushpa, Zarana Bharucha, Snehal Bharucha, Deven Acharya, Sarita Mohta, Radhika Shah, Pritha Mohinta, Rishi Bharucha, Dharmesh Morjaria, Sandeep Maniar, Karaen Maniar, Kashyap Sawant, Suvarna Sawant, Aruna Bhaniramka, Vinayak Kakde, Babita Kejriwal, Sweety Kapadia, Piyush Kapadia, Suresh Thakur, Abhijit Deshpande, Ekta Agarwal, Pooja Naik, Sangeeta J Shetty, Mitra Vinda Morjaria, Krishaal H. Morjaria and Mr Gopal of GoShoonya. Students of NSS Department and the school children of MPS School actively participated in the Tree Plantation Drive.
The plantation drive started in a systematic manner keeping in mind the space, sunlight and water required for each plant. Dr. HitteshGurujee personally monitored each sapling that th evolunteers and GoShoonya members were planting, These saplings were planted in three horizontal lines followed by some University’s Horticulture workers helped in ensuring that the plants were properly planted and watered. 40 various types flowering plants and shrubs were planted in the MPS School campus to create an awareness amongst the children about saving and growing more trees. This drive was welcomed and well received by the students and teachers equally and they promised to be a part of such initiatives in the future too.
The prime motive behind this event was to create awareness and to motivate the students to keep their surroundings green and clean by undertaking plantation of trees. Inculcate habits and lifestyle that generate minimum waste, practice source separation of waste and proper disposing of the same. Mobilize action against environmentally unsound practices like garbage disposal in unauthorised places etc. and to save and protect endangered species which in turn will protect mankind.
Dr.Jiggnna desai by profession is a Spiritual Coach, PsychicTarot Reader,Numerologist ,Astrologer,Vastu Expert,and Healer. She also plays the role of Social Activist by virtue of which she genuinely loves helping other people with a strong drive for sharing their experience and knowledge to help others reach their potentials. She believes in joining hands and supporting other NGOs because ultimately every NGO works towards a common goal of helping people and firmly believes in Teamwork.
