Arwachin Public School, Sector 14 Vasundhara, Ghaziabad celebrated -“World Wildlife Week” on 6th October, 2022. Under the guidance of Director mam Dr.Sakshi Sharma and Principal Sir of the School Mr. Abhinav Sharma, the “World Wildlife Week” was celebrated with enthusiasm .With special guest from forest department, Government of Uttar Pradesh came to deliver their remarks on this grand occasion of “World Wildlife Week”. The program started with welcoming note for the guests namely – Vikas Sitoriya ( Range officer) , Sanjay Kumar ( Deputy Ranger), R.A Khan ( S.O Sahibabad ) and Ramveer Singh ( Beat Incharge).
Keeping in mind this year theme -“Birds” , a small quiz competition was also organised related to the diversity of birds found around. The students who won were awarded with beautiful trophies from forest department. Small pots of tulsi, neem and other indoor plants were given to the Teachers, Headmistress, Incharge and coordinator of the APS School. Later on, Mr. Sanjay Kunar ( Deputy Ranger) highlighted through his speech that World Wildlife Day is a global celebration of all the wonderful wild animals and plants found on Earth. It raises awareness of the dangers that threaten the survival of many animals.
A road – rally was also taken out by the students along with forest Rangers to make the people of Vasundhara ,Ghaziabad aware about importance of conserving flora and fauna. Thus, it is a delightful opportunity to celebrate the many beautiful and precious inhabitants from the animal world. However, it is also essential to ensure that we teach our future generations about the importance of preserving and protecting each species.
