In the last three years all her three films have been selected in competitive categories of esteemed Indian National Film Festivals.

We are talking about the promising and popular Social Activist, Actor, Writer and Director from Guwahati, Assam, Meeta Dutta.

Meeta Dutta started her film career in 2020 with her films ‘Black Coat’ and ‘Green Tree’, that were both honoured with awards in the category of ‘Best Motivational Content’ in the National Film Festival organised by the prestigious Bhardwaj Film Productions, Jharkhand. Meeta Dutta not only acted in these two films but also wrote the script and directed them.

Her next film was in 2022 called ‘Impersonator’, where her role left a lasting impression and an emotional impact on the audience. ‘Impersonator’ can still be seen  streaming on MX Player, Hungama Play and VI Movies & TV Network.

This year her film ‘THE HOUSEWIFE’ has been selected in the ‘Competitive Category’ by ‘Chalachitram National Film Festival’ to be held for screening and adjudgment on the 9th & 10th of September, 2023 at Jyoti Chitrabon Film Studio, Guwahati. The results of this competition will be declared on the 10th of September, 2023.

The story, screenplay and direction of ‘THE HOUSEWIFE’ are by our Meeta Dutta wherein she has also acted alongside Tasso Lily Kago, Jyoti Bhattacharjee, Mayuri Gite, Gaurav Tayde and Child Artist Riddhi Kumari Yadav. The film ‘THE HOUSEWIFE’ was shot in Guwahati.
