“Many people are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges,” claims Pavlína Ivanová-Tongeľová. She considers the ability of many women to unite people rather than divide them as a good way to contribute to a better change in society. We women, as bearers of new life and beauty, can inspire men to beneficial actions. Pavlína herself went through a difficult period in her life and that also brought her new knowledge.

Kalokagati values

It is said that it is people who find themselves on the border of life and death who subsequently realize the importance of a fulfilled life and not just a passive experience. “One day I found myself in a hospital bed in a very bad state of health, I was literally a unique textbook case, but fortunately I survived and at that moment I realized that I can and want to continue to be here for my children, my family, loved ones and more I also have the opportunity to fulfill another of my dreams,” begins the charming Pavlína. In her life, she had occupations where she was constantly in contact with women, whether as a university teacher or when organizing fashion shows. Not in the spirit of feminism, but in the sense of supporting female energy. We can enrich society by how special we each are. Pavlína pays great attention to the values of kalokagati, i.e. harmonious harmony and balance of the physical and mental side of a person. “Even during the fashion shows, I took care to harmonize the outer beauty with the inner one, I wanted to point out and underline what is in us women.”

Multidimensional woman

Pavlína was brought up very modestly, she devoted her whole life to playing the violin, and when she finished her PhD studies at the University of Economics in Bratislava in 2009, she was approached by Mrs. World to represent Slovakia at the Mrs. Globe (2016). They met in the past at Miss Slovak Republic in 1996, where Pavlína competed. Both children, son and daughter, enthusiastically supported their mother. Also, her students at the time. “I connected academia and fashion through beauty and charisma competitions,” explains Pavlína. Serious health problems arose and Pavlína had to withdraw from the teaching process. “They saved me at the hospital at the last moment, I really wanted to continue to devote myself to the humanization of economics in the 21st century. My desire to live was very strong, I felt that I still wanted to give something to this world.”

“When a woman follows her dreams, she radiates energy with which she can influence and inspire those around her. It can unite people and make the world a better place,” claims Pavlína.

She took her children with her to many events she organized. This could also inspire them to persevere in life, as their son Peter is a music producer who studied in England and currently lives and works in Spain, their daughter Zuzana studied international relations in London and found happiness in Prague. Thanks to playing the violin, Pavlína is also musically gifted, she even recorded her own CD. In addition to the aforementioned activities, she collaborated with a colleague on the books: Society 5.0, Small and medium-sized enterprises – the present and the future, The fourth industrial revolution and the fifth civilizational turning point, New interfaces of society and economics… She authored Bridges over stormy waters and Humanization of the economy and macroeconomics processes in the 21st century (this book is also translated into English) and many other books. According to Pavlína, for example, the most successful businesses are those in which all three generations are represented: “When you get off the train due to a temporary, more serious illness, and then even when you are already in full health and vitality, but in middle or mature age, it is really difficult, even impossible , get employed again, while you have many life and professional experiences and skills. ”
