Echoes of Solitude

Echoes of Solitude

Loneliness sits by the window,

Makes souls lifeless and hollow.

It descends on the heaviest of hearts,

Soft and slow, it knows the pulse.

It fills the room where laughter fades,

Lingers long where silence stays.

It’s in the corners of the mind,

In the thoughts we try to leave behind.

Solitude, a gentle friend,

Weighs on hearts, a soft assist.

It’s there in crowded streets,

Where strangers pass but never meet.

It’s in spaces where love once lay,

In the morning blues, the words swept away.

Yet, in this strangely quiet place,

We learn the art of embracing grace.

For having none, yet having all

It is learning how to rise and fall.
