The world will never forget the contribution of these doctors, wearing white coats, stethoscopes around the neck and with a brain full of knowledge serving patients day and night.

The covid pandemic has infected the whole world and it shook it to its core. The virus is very subtle and effective while being 900 times smaller than a human hair. It spread all over the world. There was uproar everywhere. People never dreamt that a small virus will tell us where we stand. The virus did what no one ever dreamt about and suddenly we were all running in a blind race for development leaving behind our money, our car, our family, we did not consider anything but finding a cure and to also not catch it or pass it on to our families. We were all flying high in our hopes and dreams when suddenly a virus knocked, everything changed in an instant. The first wave of covid came and showed the world and our fickle human brain, its position in the ecosystem that we live in. The virus possessed symptoms that were similar to those of a common cold like Fever, cough, soreness, chills, etc. and that made the virus more deadly, powerful and camouflage against the normal flu.

The human race was presented with a serious situation at hand and, it, rose to it! The solution to our problem came as a vaccine but wait, there wasn’t any when it all first began! Doctors were forced to treat patients by using protective equipment that would suffocate a normal human being like PPE kit, double layered gloves, double layered masks and they had to work for more than 12 hours in the scorching heat of the Indian plataue. A lot of doctors lost their lives while saving others! A lot of renowned doctors who were not just helping by being in person with the patient but also by being active on social media, falsifying fake claims and spreading the true facts also lost their lives and it hurts me to the core to think that God would do something like this!

While all of this was going on, scientists from all over the world started doing research and after some time they got success. They Succeeded in making covid vaccine. But now the actual hard part was to commence, the testing of vaccine on human beings and this was the stage which would determine a vaccine’s future along with ours. Doctors played a great role in convincing test subjects to not be afraid to test it while also being extremely cautious for any adverse event that presented itself, if any! And I guess that was the reason that so many people were able to say register themselves without any fear or hesitation because somewhere they knew, a god was next to them!

Covid has taken away a lot of people away from their homes and created a vacuum of feeling that no one ever thought to experience. Children became orphans. Wives became widows. Husband became widower. Grandparents saw their children die before them. There is nothing worse that a parent would like to witness than to see their own child die before them. Houses turned into just some brick walls. Graveyards turned into dumpsites and oxygen, into transparent gold.

 Then there was news that doctors had started to lose the battle too! The one who were meant to save our people, were now losing the battle themselves. Doctors, who are perceived as another form of GOD started to lose the battle with the virus and that, I guess, shook everyone to their deepest point. Doctors are someone who we trust blindly, we call them life savers because whenever we are faced with a disease, the answer has been, ‘Go see a doctor, he’ll help you’. This undivided, uncorrupted faith in doctors has travelled down through centuries with different names and the reason is because of their pure heart and sheer will to help others without any greed or favor.  A lot of doctors have died till now and it pains to even write this line as they are the one’s who are up at night trying to bring people back to life and God shouldn’t be this crewel to someone whose sole purpose in life is to help others. My deepest sympathies go to those families who lost someone during this pandemic and I pray, that you remain healthy and follow Covid protocol and remember we will this fight this and come out victorious!
