I have started the initiative of Samvednayein with three-pronged focus: Acceptance, Awareness and rehabilitation of special children. It aims to ensure that special children especially autistic children get acceptance in society and society embraces them with full arms. It attempts to spread the message that Autism is not synonymous to intellectual disability. It also provides platform to special children to showcase their talents free of any charge.
As an empowered woman, I support Women Empowerment. A strong woman stands up for herself, A stronger woman stands for everyone else. Women empowerment according to me is being yourself and respecting one’s individuality. It means women should have the freedom, liberty and choice to do and pursue what they want. We should always remember “The hand which rocks the cradle rules the world”.Therefore women deserve utmost respect.
I want to be remembered as a person with pure and loving heart. It is said that the best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart. The biggest achievement is to be remembered as good human being. People will forget what you did, People will forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel. Therefore, always empathise with others as we never know what kind of battle someone is fighting.This is the legacy I want to leave behind.
I really hold lot of responsibility because I am a Professor who is also a pageant winner and working in glamour industry. All students especially girls look upon me as a role model. It feels great but experiences in my life have taught me to always stay grounded. My message to the women out there “The best view comes after the hardest climb”. Do not resort to shortcuts in life which fetch only temporary success. It does not matter how slow you go as long as you do not stop. So never give up until you succeed
